Service Coordinator

Supervisor: Business Office Manager

Overview:

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Answering phone calls from customers and company technicians in a courteous and professional manner
  • Entering service activity detail in service management software
  • Dispatching and managing the workload of approximately 20 HVAC Service Technicians
  • Communicating necessary job information to Service Technicians
  • Issuing purchase order numbers to Service Technicians
  • Scheduling planned preventive maintenance service
  • Maintaining job files and preparing pre-billing folders
  • Creating customer invoices
  • Scanning documents and maintaining electronic files
  • Assists Service Manager and Service Supervisors in miscellaneous functions.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check.
  • Must have a professional appearance and attitude, good organizational skills, good work ethic and be a fast learner.
  • Must have good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment/Conditions:

  • This is an inside office position.
  • Workspace is a cubicle within a common office space.

HVAC Technicians

Overview:

Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technicians install, maintain and repair heating and air conditioning systems for comfort cooling or process applications.

 

General Requirements:

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Criminal background check is required
  • Must have valid driver’s license with no major violations within the last three years.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC tech or successful completion of trade school or apprenticeship program. NATE certification preferred.
  • Technicians are required to have EPA Section 608 Technician Refrigerant Certification.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to work safely.
  • Represent our company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must frequently work in hot environments
  • Must lift and carry tools and parts daily. Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to see and respond to hazardous situations.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to sounds
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly most of the day.

 

Work Environment/Conditions:

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in hot, cold and occasionally wet or inclement conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders, roofs and aerial lifts at heights up to 50’
  • Occasionally, work is performed in a confined space
  • Must adhere to all job site safety standards

 

Daily Tasks:

  • Must embrace and comply with required company and regulatory safety standards
  • Works under minimum supervision to perform service, maintenance and repairs to commercial HVAC equipment
  • Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Understands refrigeration cycle and is proficient at troubleshooting refrigeration systems and components.
  • Understands and is proficient at troubleshooting hydronic systems and components.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, cleaning coils, changing filters, and other necessary tasks
  • Read blueprints, drawings and equipment maintenance manuals to understand how to properly operate, maintain and repair HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Properly use specialty tools, including torch and diagnostic equipment to install, maintain and repair HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Using mobile device records all required information on customer call. Completes all forms and paperwork in a neat, timely, complete, and accurate manner.
  • Communicates with dispatch while on duty to ensure dispatcher has an accurate status report of activities and availability.

Commercial Plumbers

Overview:

Plumbers install and repair pipes that transport water to buildings, install and repair drain and sewer lines carrying water and waste from buildings and install, maintain and repair plumbing related components and appliances

 

General Requirements:

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Criminal background check is required
  • Must have valid driver’s license with no major violations within the last three years.
  • Proven experience as a plumber or successful completion of trade school or apprenticeship program
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to work safely.
  • Represent our company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently uses a shovel and other tools to dig and uncover underground piping.
  • Must lift and carry tools and materials daily. Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to see and respond to hazardous situations.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to sounds
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly most of the day.

 

Work Environment/Conditions:

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in hot, cold and occasionally wet or inclement conditions.
  • When performing underground pipe repairs, site conditions are often muddy
  • Plumbers get dirty
  • Occasionally, work is performed in a confined space, such as a man hole.
  • Must adhere to all job site safety standards

 

Daily Tasks:

  • Must embrace and comply with required company and regulatory safety standards
  • Identify equipment, supplies and materials required for project
  • Solid understanding of water distribution and waste systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
  • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, drain cleaning machines, etc.)
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
  • Install and maintain water supply systems
  • Locate and repair water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
  • Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
  • Operate sectional cable drain and sewer cleaning equipment
  • Operate high pressure jetting equipment
  • Operate excavation equipment
  • Install, maintain and repair gas fired water heaters
  • Install, maintain and repair hydronic heating systems
  • Install, maintain and repair sewage lift stations and pumps
  • Install, maintain and repair waste disposal and sanitary waste systems
